Volunteer – Change the world!

Events

Event leaders – take a leadership role in coordinating a specific event. This is usually a few hour event with some up front planning and coordination with supporting volunteers.

Event support – be a team member helping with tasks that make a specific event fun for everyone. You can support a single event or be part of the resource team that helps with events all year long. Do as much or as little as your time permits.

Forest Stewardship

Junior Stewards Program leader – plan and organize forest walks, junior passport challenge stamps, awards, “Family Trees” registry, etc. Totally fun working with families and kids and building engagement in our forest ecosystem.

Tree removal project coordinator – coordinate the activities around the removal of a group of trees schedule for removal by the Committee and our professional tree experts. This often involves coordinating with members who will need to move RVs or sheds to clear an optimal fall zone. The goal is to begin coordinating each project 3 months in advance so that all impacted members have adequate time to make needed arrangements. You can volunteer for one or more of the anticipated 12 projects per year.

Database and map support – work with Mike Marconi to keep tree maps and tree project databases updated. This will also include tracking data on tree-related operating expenses and log related revenues in support of grant reporting obligations.

New application software testing – work with the IT team and committee members to test new work tracking software that will be required to support grant requirements. This won’t require deep tech experience, but it helps to not be intimidated by tech stuff.
